Why ceramic for a wall light
Ceramic does two things well. It diffuses light softly, so a frosted globe set into a ceramic body glows without glare. The trade-off is that ceramic is a natural, handmade material, so small variations in glaze and tone between pieces are normal. If you want two identical, machine-perfect fittings, ceramic is not the material. If you want character, it is exactly right.

Glazes and finishes
Colour is where ceramic earns its place. Our Solara comes in brown, white, black, and dark green, and the Volta in matte white, warm brown, dark brown, and pink. Darker glazes read as quiet and grounding on a feature wall. White and pale tones almost disappear into the wall and let the glow do the work. Because each piece is glazed by hand, the exact tone and texture shift slightly from one to the next.
Globes and light
Both the Solara and the Volta take a G9 globe, which is not included, so you choose your own. Pick a warm white globe, around 2700K to 3000K, for the soft, candlelit look ceramic does best. If you want to be able to lower the light, choose a dimmable G9 globe and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Leaving the globe choice to you means you set the exact brightness and warmth for the room.
Sunburst or cylinder: which shape
The two shapes do different jobs. The Solara is a sculptural sunburst, a ruffled ceramic shade around an opal glass globe. It is a statement, an object you notice on the wall by day and a soft glow by night. The Volta is a clean cylinder cone with a frosted globe, quieter and more minimal, the kind of piece that sits comfortably beside a bed or in a hallway without demanding attention. Pick the Solara to make a wall a feature, the Volta to add warm light without a focal point.
