Wall lights hand-carved from natural Spanish alabaster. Each stone piece has unique veining and glows with a warm, translucent light no other material can match. Finished with brushed brass fittings and shipped from Sydney from $15.

Frequently asked questions about alabaster wlights

Does alabaster actually glow when the light is on?

Yes. Alabaster is a translucent stone, so a lit Alba or Petalo glows through the whole shade and shows its natural veining. Marble pieces such as the Marmo and Marquise are denser and are lit rather than lit through, giving a more sculptural, lower-glow look.

Will my alabaster light look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. Every piece is cut from a different block of stone, so the veining and warmth vary slightly. That variation is the point of natural stone — no two Battii alabaster lights are the same.

Can alabaster wall lights go in a bathroom?

Only in dry zones. Battii's alabaster and marble lights are IP20 rated and suit bedrooms, hallways and living rooms. For outdoors, look at the Orb instead.

How are they installed?

They are hardwired 240V fittings. In Australia, hardwired lighting must be installed by a licensed electrician; the fitting comes with its wall bracket and mounting hardware, and each product page links to a printable spec sheet for your electrician.

Bloody happy with this purchase - absolutely stunning. Found it late one night and just went for it, reckon it’s one of the best things I’ve bought in ages. The frosted glass glows beautifully when it’s on, super soft and warm, way better than I expected from the photos (and the photos are already mint). Looks like proper art on the wall even when it’s off. Arrived really well packed, no dramas at all.
